The Diamondhead POA will receive sealed bids no later than 3:00 P.M., Local Time, Tuesday, December 14, 2021,
at the following location:
7610 Country Club Circle Diamondhead, MS 39525

All bids so received will be publicly opened and the bid amount read aloud for the following project:

Diamondhead Marina Timber Pier Demolition City of Diamondhead, Mississippi
Hancock County, Mississippi

The work included in the Contract shall consist primarily of demolition of the following items:

• Demolition of timber piers 1 & 2
• Capping of utilities to timber piers

The above general outline of features of the work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the Contractor to perform all work and furnish all plant, labor, equipment, and materials required by the specifications and the drawings referred to therein.

The Diamondhead POA hereby notified all Bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this Advertisement, Disadvantaged and Women’s Business Enterprises will be afforded the full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color or national origin in consideration for an award.

Plans and specifications are being made available via hard copy or digital download. Plan Holders are required to log-in or register for an account to view or order bid documents at Bid documents are non
refundable and must be purchased through the website. Questions regarding website registration and online orders are to contact the Plan House at (228) 248-0181. No partial sets of drawings or project manuals will be issued. No contract documents (hard copies or electronic copies) will be issued to Contractors within twenty-four (24) hours of the time indicated above for receiving bids.

Bids must be submitted upon the standard forms contained within these contract documents furnished by Engineer, noted in the Information for Bidders. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Certified Check on a solvent bank or a Bidder’s Bond issued by a Surety Company licensed to operate in the State of Mississippi, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price, payable to the Diamondhead POA as bid security. Bidders shall also submit a current financial statement, if requested by the Diamondhead POA. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount.

The required documents shall be submitted in a sealed envelope and the outside of the envelope shall be marked plainly as: “Diamondhead Marina Pier Demolition” and the Certificate of Responsibility Number.

Bids shall be deposited with the Diamondhead POA, 7610 Country Club Circle, Diamondhead, MS 39525. No oral, telegraphic, telephonic, or e-mail proposals shall be considered. All interpretations of drawings and specifications shall be directed to Jason Chiniche at Chiniche Engineering & Surveying by email to jason@jjc-eng.com. An acknowledged received copy of all Addenda issued by the Engineer via Plan House must be included with the bid proposal. No bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the date of actual bid opening without Owner’s consent. The Diamondhead POA reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any or all informalities.

Work to be performed shall be in accordance with all Federal, State and Local Regulations and Codes. Approved by order of the Diamondhead POA, this the November 8, 2021.
